On Thursday, Nov. 2, iHeartMedia’s KFI 640 offered a pre-recorded apology from their morning host Bill Handel two weeks after (Oct. 20) he first called Rep. Frederica Wilson a whore on live radio.

A slur that he then repeated with impunity on live radio the following Monday (Oct. 23).

This pre-recorded apology comes on the day that Handel is going to be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in Cleveland and after a severe social media backlash and petition calling for him to be fired.

I will add that although two weeks too late, an apology is a start but after John and Ken’s 2012 one-week suspension for calling Whitney Houston a “crack ho,” a pre-recorded apology hardly seems like enough.

But that’s just my opinion.
