Style File: Color Combos I Love – Yellow & Green

Continuing on in my color combos I love for this spring summer are yellow and green–bright yellow and green green. The kind of bold colors that make it worth people’s while when they can’t help but stop and stare at your choice of color combination.

I have purposely infused my wardrobe with colors that represent the vibrant energy of me AND the season. This year, bright bold colors are making a comeback, and they should be an essential part of everyone interested in style’s wardrobe. I can tell you from my own experience that embracing these eye-catching hues will elevate your style and boost your confidence. You feel better when you look good. Period.

The Power of Psychology

It’s a fact that colors have a profound impact on our emotions and perceptions.

Bright bold colors like sunny yellow, and vibrant green evoke feelings of happiness, excitement, and positivity. When I wear bright color combos they uplift my mood, increase my energy levels, and even make me feel more confident.

My tennis shoes are often bright colors because I need all the help and inspiration I can get on the tennis court and up that hill when I am hiking. I can definitely tell the difference between my moods in colors versus when I wear black—which I love to do. The first world struggle is real.

Stand Out Style

No doubt that spring and summer are the perfect times to experiment with bold fashion choices. From brunches to garden parties, or hitting the beach–colors ensure you stand out in any crowd. A pop of color here and there can turn heads and make a lasting impression.

Flattering for All Skin Tones

I want to point out the obvious. Bright bold colors are universally flattering. They bring out the natural glow in various skin tones, making you look more radiant and vibrant. For those with fair skin, try colors like turquoise or coral to add warmth. Medium skin tones can benefit from shades like mustard yellow and royal blue, while deeper skin tones look stunning in magenta and emerald green.

Versatility and Fun

One of the best things about bright bold colors is their versatility. They can be mixed and matched to create a plethora of exciting looks.

So, none of what I am wearing is new. The jacket is an older piece from Eloquii that I picked up on Poshmark brand new, the dress too. Eloquii on Poshmark. I shop on a budget, lol.

The jacket is embossed faux leather constructed with subtle feminine tailoring for the perfect, not-too-boxy look. I am wearing a size 18. I was a little iffy on the size because I thought it would be too big, but it turned out to be perfect. I’ll add it to my Poshmark closet after I wear it a few more times so be on the lookout for it if this is your size.

I paired it with an oldie but good from Eloquii, a green and white long sleeve ruffle midi dress in size 16.

Neither one of these pieces are available from Eloquii anymore.

This post is less about my exact outfit and more about pairing up colors together using the pieces you have or pieces you find.

If you really want my outfit, I highly suggest hitting up Poshmark.

The clutch is from Amazon and you can click here to pick it up. The shoes are from Zara and unfortunately are also not for sale anymore but I’ve seen lots of similar styles.

Go out there and flaunt those color combos!
