Bunnie XO is not happy with how her husband, singer Jelly Roll, has been treated on the internet.

In a clip from the “Dumb Blonde” podcast shared on TikTok, she said the celebrated country artist “got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f**king weight.”

I’d leave social media too if I was being bullied to the point it was affecting me personally. I got enough ish dragging me down in life without actively pursuing more.

There’s no requirement that any of us participate in social media. Also, there’s no requirement to read comments or to even allow people to leave comments on some platforms.

That’s a choice we make. I’ve said it before (Lizzo) and I’ll say it again, when you get on social media you have to take the good with the bad because there are losers with nothing better to do in their life than leave negative nasty comments about people’s looks. It’s even sadder when you consider that they’re more often than not adults. That’s the world we created and that’s the world we live in.

I have really limited my social media engagement over the past year.

One, because I can’t enjoy life and the moments it brings holding up my phone or looking into my phone the whole time. Real talk. But also, I didn’t like the effect it was having on me personally.

I don’t and never will judge my self-worth on the amount of likes, shares, or comments that I get. I choose to get my validation elsewhere.

We’re all different and some of us are cut from that cloth that just doesn’t put too much stock in what strangers have to say from the privacy of their phones somewhere in the world.

Jelly Roll can leave social media for all I care. But if he should ever stop making music, that’s would be the real crisis.
