I recently had a glam shoot and got a chance to put on this gorgeous pink tulle dress from Xpluswear!

The experience was absolutely magical. The dress, with its layers of delicate tulle, flowed beautifully and made me feel like a princess. The soft pink color added a fun and flirty touch, perfect for the theme of the shoot–think 1980 something and The Psychedelic Furs’ “Pretty In Pink.”
The design of the dress was both elegant and unique, featuring intricate detailing that highlighted the craftsmanship of Xpluswear. From the moment I put it on, I could feel the quality and care that went into making this stunning piece. The fit was nearly perfect. I say nearly because I probably had this dress hanging up for about two months and by the time I got around to wearing it, I had lost more weight so it didn’t quite fit the way I intended it to–but that wasn’t the designer’s fault. The dress was an 18/20 and I have slid into the 14/16 range now. The situation actually gave me a chance to break out my mini stitching gun and put it to good use. Presto whamo, with a few clicks we had that dress shaped to my figure while still providing comfort, and most importantly still allowing me to breath and move freely during the shoot. And when we were done, the temporary stitches came out without a hitch and left no marks at all behind on the dress.

So because of the lapse in the time from when I received the dress, was shot in the dress, and am posting about the dress, it looks like Xpluswear has already sold out the dress. However, they have several other tulle dresses in various colors, including pink, that are very similar to this one, if you’re interested. Honestly, I think every girl and woman, no matter their size, should own at least one tulle dress or skirt for those days when you just want to feel like a girl.

Working with Reese Johnson behind the camera and Tequana Colvin on makeup was an absolute delight as well. Reese was able to capture the essence of the dress and Tequana’s glam gave me the confidence I needed, resulting in some truly great shots.
